Acupuncture
This ancient practice has a recorded history of about 2,000 years, and has been shown to boost the body’s natural painkillers
Acupuncture
Thousands of years old, this ancient Chinese practice is the insertion of tiny needles into some of the 350 specific spots said to carry our vital energy.
The stimulation caused by the needles balances energy flow, increases blood flow and boosts the body’s natural painkillers.
Acupuncture encourages natural healing, reduces or relieves pain, and improves function of affected areas of the body. It’s widely recognized, including by the World Health Organization, as effective treatment for many conditions. In Canada, specially trained physiotherapists can integrate acupuncture into their overall therapeutic toolkit. It’s safe, causes minimal discomfort and brings results.
Many of our physiotherapists are authorized by Physiotherapy Alberta to use acupuncture as treatment.
