Désirée Kadelbach is an occupational therapist who has a specific interest in the treatment of hand injuries. She specializes in the fabrication of custom-made splints (devices used to protect the injured hand and/or enhance movement and function). Over the past 10 years, she has lectured and presented splinting workshops across Canada, including guest lectures or presentations for the University of Alberta, Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists, l’Ordre des ergothérapeutes du Québec, Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and International Federation of Society of Hand Therapists.
Désirée has a small dog who loves to test the durability of the splints she makes as samples for workshops. She enjoys walks with her dog, cross-country skiing, hiking, biking, swimming and gardening.
