For the Golf Professional

As golf professionals, we understand that golf uses a very dynamic and complex athletic motion that requires a combination of mobility, stability, balance, strength and power. If you have students who are struggling with golf related injuries or having trouble transforming their swing, perhaps it’s time to look further into their physical abilities. Performance Golf Calgary is made up of a team of TPI certified medical and fitness professionals who can help your students resolve any physical limitations to ensure their technical progress.

When the golf season is over, the fall and winter months are a perfect time to refer students to Performance Golf Calgary; when the golf season restarts, your students will return to you physically prepared to perform their best from tee to green.

Physical assessment: We’ll diagnose your student and treat any underlying movement compensations that could be associated with his or her swing faults. We’ll also assess and treat any aches or pains that are restricting your student’s ability to play with ease and comfort. A TPI certified physiotherapist will examine your student’s strength, flexibility, posture, asymmetries and some swing mechanics.

Fitness: We can help optimize your student’s ability on the golf course, maximize his or her endurance and minimize injury. Golf fitness comes in the form of one-on-one training, two-or-more group training or an exercise class, all aimed at creating mobility, flexibility and stability while increasing core strength, balance and cardiovascular fitness. Golf fitness is about developing a program to create proper segmental rotation, strengthen weak golf muscles and increase swing power.
