Sports Nutrition

Nutrition plays an important role in sports training and performance. A well-balanced diet will assist in muscle recovery and aid in the prevention of injuries. Registered Dietitians will perform a full diet assessment on each athlete, and determine their specific daily requirements of protein, carbohydrates, minerals, vitamins and essential fatty acids necessary for training and competing. A specialized nutritional program will be designed to include meal ideas for pre-event eating, and what eat and drink to recover. The sports nutrition program will also focus on the timing of meals and snacks, how to enhance energy levels, and maintain a healthy immunity to improve level of performance.
