Patrick Bergevin received a Bachelor of Science degree with honours in kinesiology from the University of Ottawa in 1999. He shifted focus from exercise physiology to biomechanics when he worked at a pedorthic clinic in Ottawa, which gave him great interest in the field. Patrick received his pedorthic technician certification in 2001, and his pedorthist certification in 2002. He is an active member of the Pedorthic Association of Canada (PAC), acting as a board member in 2010-2011 and chair of PAC’s symposium and professional development committee. He also contributed in writing PAC’s clinical practice guidelines. Patrick is a member of the College of Pedorthics of Canada (CPC) and serves on the CPC’s examination review committee.

Since 2004, Patrick has been the proud owner of Orthotics In Motion and has expanded the number of services offered through his company. In addition to seeing patients for foot orthotics and custom-made shoes, he has created a laboratory manufacturing service for foot orthotics and custom-made footwear. Patrick is experienced in lower leg treatments (e.g. compression stockings) and as a footwear specialist for diabetic patients.

Patrick sees patients every Thursday morning at THE Downtown Sports Clinics–TD Square location. Patrick has been a part of our team as an independent contractor since 2003 and enjoys working closely with our physiotherapists to improve patient outcomes.
