Tammy Kawala

Tammy Kawala

RMT

With 14 years of experience, Tammy’s favorite part of her work has been getting to know her clients. Throughout her career, she has worked in a clinic environment; and since 2006, she also became involved in Corporate Massage Therapy. With this experience she has learned the challenges that corporate employees face, including repetitive-strain injuries, the mental toll of time restraints and day-to-day stress.

Tammy is a member of the Massage Therapist Association of Alberta, which is approved by insurance companies. She is also registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. She uses Swedish-massage technique as well as myofascial release, trigger-point therapy and deep-tissue massage. Her treatment technique is based on client preferences, sensitivity and experience with massage therapy.

Some areas of special interest include office-work-related repetitive-strain injuries, pre-natal massage, and post-surgery-related issues, such as swelling and scar tissue.
