Mike Dale
RMT
Mike graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto in 1977. He followed the family tradition of engineering for 16 years, but in 1994 he switched to health care, where he felt he could make a bigger difference in people’s lives.
After graduating from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Ontario, Mike worked as a clinical educator at a teaching research hospital in Toronto in the stroke and traumatic-brain-injury units. He has written and taught curriculum for massage therapy colleges in physiology, pathology and advanced clinical treatments in Ontario and Alberta for the past 12 years.
Mike is deeply committed to raising the standards and providing mentorship for the next generation of massage therapists in Canada. He has proven his commitment by sitting on the board of directors for the Massage Therapist Association of Alberta (MTAA), becoming a published author, and serving as a member of the examination committee for the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and the MTAA.
Mike enjoys the challenge of treating a complex patient who has had limited success in finding relief elsewhere. His strengths lie in critical thinking, logical process and outcome orientation.
Mike is passionate about outdoor activities — specifically canoeing and wilderness tripping. Since moving to Alberta, Mike spends his free time skiing, volunteering and with his grandchildren.
