Tyson Plesuk - BPHE, BSc, MScPT, MCPTA
Tyson's choice of a career in physiotherapy arose from a keen interest in his own recovery from injuries sustained while participating in hockey, lacrosse and volleyball.
He has a special interest in sport related injuries and those incurred as a result of motor vehicle accidents. As a certified personal trainer, Tyson utilizes his experience to assign exercises that aid in rehabilitation and promote injury prevention.
An enthusiastic member of his profession, Tyson's dedication is apparent through his participation with the Alberta Physiotherapy Association on their public awareness campaign and by his serving as the vice-chair of the Southern Orthopeadic Unit. He is also committed to further develop his knowledge and skills within the field of physiotherapy by completing a number of courses, including Acupuncture, Manual Therapy and Injury Prevention.
While attending Queen's University to acquire a Bachelor’s degree in both Physical and Health Education, and Science, Tyson was captain of the hockey team and an Academic All-Canadian. After completing his undergraduate degrees, he received his Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta.
In his spare time, he enjoys weight training, running road races (10 km's & half marathons), and playing ultimate Frisbee and hockey.
